Women 'should only have two kids if they want to keep their looks', says study

Women who want to keep their looks in later life should have a smaller family.

• Research from Bath University reveals each child increases oxidative stress.

• And pregnancy, breastfeeding and childcare also take a toll on the body.

OMG.  It is an unusual beauty secret, but moms who want to keep their looks in later life should consider having a smaller family.

Researchers from universities in England recently conducted an experiment, published in the American Journal of Anthropology, to determine the association between reproduction, lifespan and risk of disease. The survey, including analysts from Bath University, asked more than 500 individuals to judge photos of middle-aged ladies. The images were categorized into three sections: those with two to three kids, those with four to five and those with seven to nine.

After examining the results, they found that women with fewer children were seen as younger and healthier than those with more children. In fact, the lowest scores were given to women with seven to nine children.

Why is it so?

Researchers say pregnancy, breastfeeding and childcare incur significant damage on the body by increasing oxidative stress, a chemical imbalance which prematurely ages women and lower attractiveness in older age.
