Are the wedding bells going to ring. Speculation is rife that Akash Ambani, the young scion of Reliance group is all set to tie knot with Shloka Mehta, an entrepreneur and daughter of Russel Mehta. Here is some basic information about the girl.

Family

Shloka is the youngest of three children of Russell Mehta and Mona, who is a close relative of the controversial diamond trader Nirav Modi, who is under investigation after the alleged Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud case of 11,400 crore rupees. The family lives in South Mumbai.

Education

Interestingly, Akash and Shloka are alumni of the famous Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS), in the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.
After schooling , Akash studied at Brown University, a premiere institution based in Rhode Island, USA.
After schooling at DAIS in 2009, Shloka left for the US to graduate upon anthropology at Princeton University and later completed her Masters in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Profession

While Akash is the chief strategy of Reliance Jio, the Reliance group’s fast growing telecom venture. Shloka is the head of Rosy Blue Foundation and is a co-founder of ConnectFor, an organization that helps NGOs in providing volunteers for various causes.

‘Annan’ is now in the Oxford Dictionary

   The word ‘Anna’ has been added to the Oxford English dictionary. Anna' meaning elder brother in Tamil and Telugu, has finally found recognition in the OxfordEnglish Dictionary (OED).    So far, Anna exists in the dictionary as a noun, which means a former monetary unit of India and Pakistan, equal to one-sixteenth of a rupee. Now, anna2 (also annan), noun, has been added.     The Oxford English Dictionary also has over 70 Indian words from Telugu, Urdu, Tamil, Hindi and Gujarati. Abba, meaning "father in Urdu", has also been incorporated in Oxford. The other word includes acha, bapu, bada din, bacha, suryanamaskar.      In the process of adding new words in September, various Indian words are placed in the Oxford English dictionary. Oxford updates its dictionary 4 times a year, in March, June, September and December.
